Welcome the Mammon

On the New Year's Eve, we were surrounded by happy atmosphere.After we finished our New Year’s meal,my father,mother and I came out and let off the firecrackers.At that time,we heard our neighbors  shouting loudly when they let off firecrackers.They shouted:“Sending Mammon!Sending Mammon!”I was not sure what they said.I asked my mum:“Why did they say ‘Sending Mammon’?” Mum said: “This is a kind of Chinese custom, we always let off firecrackers on the New Year’s Eve.We only want have a good starting point and be richer at the new year!”

 “But why do they want send Mammon?They don’t want to be richer,do they?”My father laughted and mother said: “They really want to be richer,so they should send the Mammon!He was busy in the past year,we should let him have a rest!”Then my father said: “We sant the Manmmon,certainly should welcome the Mammon!And we will welcome the Mammon on the fifth day of the New Year! We are going to buy many firecrackers and skyrockets. On that time,there will be more and more people there,the sky will be more beautiful than today’s!”

Hearing my father and mother’s words,I answerd immediately and said: “This is not scientific!”My neighbor said: “That is not important.If only we will be happy,we can do anythings!Do you know!” “Yes,I think so!”

“Let’s make the firecrackers!Let’s be happy!”

“OK!”many people answered together.

I think I will welcome the Mammon on the fifth day of the New Year!This New Year I’m really happy and excited!
